Emergency Landing in Spain: Morocco to Italy Flight Diverted for Passenger in Distress

A flight from Fez to Venice had to make an emergency landing in Valencia on Wednesday to allow a passenger on board, a woman in respiratory distress, to receive medical care.
The crew requested an emergency landing at the nearest airport and requested medical assistance for the woman who was unconscious and in respiratory distress. The air traffic control professionals made the necessary arrangements to deploy an emergency service team at Valencia airport before the aircraft landed, reports ABC.
The plane landed in Valencia at 9:08 am and resumed its journey to Venice at 10:36 am, according to sources from AENA, the organization responsible for managing airports in Spain. On Tuesday, a flight from Tenerife to Rome also had to make an urgent detour to Malaga due to a passenger experiencing severe chest pains.
