Elderly Man Killed by Stray Dogs in Rural Morocco

In Douar Sidi Amrou, in the commune of Tazarine, province of Zagora, an octogenarian did not survive an attack by a pack of stray dogs.
Residents discovered the body of an octogenarian who had been bitten and mutilated by a group of stray dogs, eyewitnesses tell the Moroccan site Al3Omk in Sidi Amrou, in the province of Zagora. These dogs are said to have entered his home, where he lived alone. The tragedy occurred after his return from the city of Salé, where the members of his family and his children reside. A group of children, passing by the house, was shocked to discover the victim’s body lying on the ground, confirm the same sources.
After the discovery of the body, the neighbors of the octogenarian informed the authorities and the elements of the Royal Gendarmerie. They went to the scene and opened an investigation into the tragedy. An ambulance transported the body of the deceased to the morgue.
The inhabitants of the Tazarine region live under the threat of being attacked by stray dogs, who are becoming numerous in the streets, and fear for their lives, their safety and their health. They therefore call on the competent authorities to take urgent measures to solve this thorny problem.
