Eight Moroccan Athletes Flee During Cross-Country Tournament in Slovakia

The number of Moroccan students who have fled in Slovakia, after participating in a cross-country tournament, has risen to eight out of 24 members of the delegation.
According to an official source, two other members of this same delegation have also fled instead of returning with their comrades to Morocco, bringing the number of fugitives to 8, instead of 6, as announced last week.
The supervisors noticed the absence of these two minors, who took advantage of the last moments before departure to the taxis transporting the groups of students to the airport to return to Morocco, to escape.
According to an official of the Ministry, the first escape of six students would be linked to illegal immigration, as the latter discreetly left the hotel building in Bratislava, where they were staying with the staff of the Ministry of National Education, who accompanied them on the sports trip.
