Eid Al-Adha Livestock Sales to Boost Rural Economy with $1.2 Billion Windfall

Eid Al-Adha represents an important source of income for the rural population. A turnover estimated at 12 billion dirhams.
The average turnover of Eid Al-Adha should exceed 12 billion dirhams this year. Most of these funds are transferred to rural areas, thus allowing farmers to cover the expenses of other agricultural activities, particularly those related to the preparations for the next agricultural season.
This is specified by the Ministry of Agriculture in its latest press release on the state of the national herd, noting in passing that the comparison between supply and demand shows that the availability of sheep and goats largely covers demand.
Economically, Eid Al-Adha is indeed an opportunity to improve the income of farmers for whom small livestock farming is the main source of livelihood, particularly in the large pastures. These financial resources help stimulate economic activities in the rural world.
