EIB Grants Morocco €100 Million for COVID-19 Medical Equipment

The European Investment Bank (EIB) is granting 100 million euros to Morocco to help it cope with certain urgent needs arising from the Covid-19 pandemic. The Moroccan Minister of Finance, Mohamed Benchaâboun, and Emma Navarro, Vice-President of the EIB, announced the signing on Monday, August 31.
This amount is intended for the purchase of medical equipment and materials for a more effective fight against Covid-19. This is the first financing carried out by the EIB in favor of a country close to the EU as part of the fight against Covid-19.
The EIB had previously supported the Kingdom to the tune of 100 million euros to accompany the reform program of the Ministry of Health.
