Egyptian Star Mohamed Ramadan’s $80,000 Mawazine Festival Fee Sparks Controversy

The Egyptian artist Mohamed Ramadan, a regular at artistic events in Morocco, will now be at the Mawazine Festival in Rabat. He will perform on the Nahda stage on June 29, but his fee is already causing a stir.
While his presence is generating great enthusiasm from his fans, it is not without raising questions about its cost. According to sources close to the site Aljarida24, Mohamed Ramadan’s fee would be 800,000 dirhams, a sum far from unanimous in these times of scarcity for Moroccans.
Despite this financial controversy, Mohamed Ramadan’s arrival is confirmed. He will close the evening of June 29, sharing the stage with the Moroccan artist Aminux.
The same source recalls that last year, his participation in the International Book and Publishing Fair (SIEL) had already caused controversy. The singer had been criticized for his invitation and the official welcome reserved for him by the Minister of Culture.
