The Egyptian Pickalbatros takes over two hotels in Morocco

The Sangho Hotel in Marrakech and the famous Palais des Roses in Agadir are now under the control of the Egyptian hotel giant, Pickalbatros. This will give a boost to tourism activity in these two Moroccan cities.
Pickalbatros, the Egyptian giant of the hotel industry, is taking a giant step to take over two hotels in Morocco. It has taken over the Sangho Hotel located in Marrakech, built on more than 10 hectares and with 324 rooms, reports L’Économiste. The Palais des Roses Hotel located on the seafront in Agadir has also become the property of the group. The establishment has a capacity of 404 rooms, or 808 beds. By acquiring these two hotel establishments, Pickalbatros "is actively committed to reducing the number of unoccupied beds in these key tourism destinations".
Founded in 1992, Pickalbatros Hotels & Resorts specializes mainly in the development and management of a wide variety of hotel and tourism properties. It has a large portfolio of hotels in Egypt and Morocco. In Egypt, it owns 22 hotels spread across Hurghada, Sharm El Sheikh and Port Said. The Egyptian group has several hotel assets in Morocco, including the Savoy Grand Hotel and Aquafun, a popular holiday village located on the Ourika road, both located in Marrakech.
