Egyptian Nuclear Scientist’s Death in Morocco Sparks Mossad Speculation

The death of the Egyptian scientist, Abou Bakr Ramadan, continues to fuel controversy. Overall, the Egyptian media do not rule out that the Israeli intelligence services, the Mossad, are behind the sudden and suspicious death of the nuclear scientist.
While the Egyptian Ambassador to Morocco, Ashraf Ibrahim, tried to silence the controversy by stating that the scientist died of a heart attack, the Egyptian media see behind the disappearance of Abou Bakr Ramadan a possible involvement of the Mossad.
Indeed, for these media, the Mossad has a long history of assassinating scientists, specifically nuclear specialists, in various countries around the world.
They add that the sudden and suspicious death of Abou Bakr Ramadan, who worked for the Egyptian Authority for Nuclear and Radiological Control, suggests the involvement of this Israeli intelligence service.
For some Egyptian media, the possibility that the Mossad was involved in this tragic event could be explained especially when we know that Ramadan was in charge of investigating the environmental impacts of radiation from the Israeli nuclear facilities in Dimona, in the Negev desert, located south of the occupied Palestinian territories.
For other media as well, in addition to nuclear scientists, writers and political leaders have also been targeted by Mossad attacks, for their anti-Israeli and anti-American positions.
To recall, the scientist Abou Bakr Ramadan died last Thursday in Marrakech, while he was attending a conference on energy. Preliminary reports indicate that his death was due to a heart attack.
A thesis supported by the Egyptian Ambassador to Morocco, Ashraf Ibrahim. However, the Egyptian Prosecutor’s Office has ordered an autopsy of the body to determine the true cause of his death.
