Education Officials Plan Rotating Student Groups for Upcoming School Year Amid Pandemic

The next school year involves some changes due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Abdelghani Raki, secretary general of the National Union of Education (SNE), talks about it.

In an interview with Assabah, Abdelghani Raki affirms that the next school year will not be normal despite the best logistical, pedagogical and human conditions for the resumption of classes. According to him, the experts of the Ministry of National Education must focus on a resumption of classes with the physical presence of students and teachers. This resumption must be paced by the principle of rotation of more or less important groups of students.

To meet this challenge, the secretary general of the SNE indicates the way to go. According to him, a new organizational and pedagogical planning is needed that will take into account the epidemiological situation of the country. He also recommends strengthening human resources.

Mr. Raki also recalls that the next school year will start on October 5. Before this date, an entire month will be devoted to revising the courses and evaluating the knowledge acquired by the students through distance learning.
