Earthquakes Rattle Canary Islands and Southern Spain, Tremors Felt in Morocco

Tremors of magnitude 2.3 were felt this Tuesday morning in the Moroccan city of Annoual, a few kilometers west of Melilla. This follows two earthquakes that shook the Canary Islands.
The Canary Islands were hit by two earthquakes this morning. The first, of magnitude 1.6, was recorded at 0:58 am and had its epicenter in the city of Buenavista del Norte in Tenerife. The second, of magnitude 1.5, occurred a few hours later, at 5:04 am, in Santiago del Teide, reports La Nueva España.
A few minutes later, an earthquake was also reported in the province of Jaén at 5:16 am. It was of magnitude 1.9 and had its epicenter in Alcalá la Real. The most significant tremor recorded on Tuesday, of magnitude 3.7, was reported at 9:07 am in the Atlantic, in an area near the Azores.
