Drunk Driver Kills Officer, Critically Injures Another in Rabat Embassy District

While driving under the influence of alcohol in his luxury car, a "rich kid" hit two police officers in Rabat. One died on the spot while the other was admitted to the hospital in serious condition.
The events took place last Friday. A "rich kid" ran over two police officers on duty in front of one of the embassies in the Souissi district after committing a traffic violation, reports Assabah. The toll of this "accident" is one dead and one seriously injured. The second injured policeman suffered a head trauma and a spinal fracture. Admitted to the intensive care unit, he is fighting for his life.
Faced with the damage, the perpetrator of the accident had fled. An investigation brigade managed to identify him. A national arrest warrant was issued against him before he himself surrendered the next day to the police services of the Souissi Takadoum district. On the orders of the Attorney General, he was taken into custody and his car was towed to the municipal impound. His appearance should be effective this Monday. This "rich kid" could be prosecuted for intentional violence or involuntary manslaughter and serious reckless driving.
