Dortmund Director Reveals Why Achraf Hakimi Left for Inter Milan

The BVB football director, Sebastian Kehl, looks back on the reasons for the departure of Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi from Borussia Dortmund.
According to him, the player was happy at Dortmund but the club had not been able to meet the demand of Real Madrid, the club that had trained and seen Achraf Hakimi grow. The Spanish club was asking for 40 million euros for the transfer. Sebastian Kehl said the German club could not afford it.
The Moroccan international subsequently signed a five-year contract with Inter Milan. Since July 2, 2020, he has been playing as a right-back.
July 11, 2018 marked the official announcement of the Atlas Lion’s contract in the form of a loan with Borussia Dortmund for a period of two seasons. The player’s goal counter shows 12 goals, 17 assists. With his teammates, he won the German Super Cup.
