Doctors and Hospital Staff Jailed for Falsifying COVID-19 Tests in Moroccan City

18 people, including doctors, nurses and security guards working in local hospitals in the city of Oujda, have been convicted by the court of first instance as part of a network of falsifying tests to detect Covid-19.
In total, 7 doctors and one nurse from the city of Oujda were sentenced to prison terms ranging from six months to three years. Similarly, 3 security guards from the same private health facility were sentenced to six months in prison for falsifying tests to detect Covid-19. As for the other people involved, they were sentenced from six months to four years in prison.
All these people were arrested after lengthy investigations and surveillance operations carried out by the national security services in the cities of Nador and Oujda. This made it possible to see the attempts to use fake tests to detect the virus by travelers at maritime and air border posts.
Further research allowed the police to understand that it was a large criminal network of forgery and promotion of various documents for large sums of money.
