Doctoral Student Killed in Violent Altercation Outside Casablanca Restaurant

A most horrific crime has shaken the upscale Ain Diab neighborhood of Casablanca. A 23-year-old man, a doctoral researcher at the Faculty of Science and Technology in Mohammedia, was killed as he was leaving a restaurant.
It all started with a dispute between Badr Bouljoihel, who had come to dinner with two of his friends to celebrate obtaining his Canadian visa, and a group of five young people over a girl that "each one probably wanted for himself" in a restaurant. Security guards and some restaurant customers intervened to separate the brawlers and calm the spirits.
A few moments later, the spirits flared up again. As they were heading towards the restaurant parking lot, Badr and his friends were surprised by the five young men, reports Maroc Hebdo. Armed with sticks, they violently struck the young doctoral researcher. He dies on the spot. One of the assailants, the owner of a large Audi Q8 4x4, gets into his vehicle to run over the body of the young Badr.
After their crime, the alleged murderers, who are said to be rich kids, fled before the arrival of the Casablanca judicial police. The main suspect removed the license plate of his vehicle. Only the surveillance cameras could help the investigators identify the alleged perpetrators of this crime.
