Disney+ Expands to 42 New Countries, Including Morocco and Middle East

The Disney+ streaming platform will soon deploy its service in 42 countries, including Morocco and 11 additional territories. It will thus be available in 102 countries.
Disney+ is gaining ground. Starting May 18, the platform will be available in South Africa. On June 8, it will be deployed in Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, the Palestinian territories, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates and Yemen.
On June 14, Albania, Andorra, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Kosovo, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Malta, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey and the Vatican City will join the Disney+ service. Israel will have access to it on June 16.
This expansion of the platform will lead to an increase in costs. Disney CEO Bob Chapek has promised shareholders that the volume of available content will double in order to mitigate the price increase. "We essentially had to double our production," he said.
