The dirham falls for the third consecutive week: 1,000 euros now bring in 131 more dirhams

Between September 10 and 16, the dirham depreciated by 0.2% against the euro, according to the latest weekly indicators from Bank Al-Maghrib.

The euro’s reference exchange rate stood at 10.907 dirhams on September 16, compared with 10.890 dirhams on September 9. For 1,000 euros, the difference represents an additional 17 dirhams in one week.

131 more dirhams in three weeks

The movement is more pronounced over three weeks. On August 27, the euro was still worth 10.776 dirhams. It had risen to 10.815 dirhams on September 2 and then to 10.890 dirhams on September 9. On September 16, 1,000 euros therefore represented 10,907 dirhams, compared with 10,776 three weeks earlier.

The euro even rose to 10.937 dirhams on September 15 before falling back to 10.907 dirhams the following day. At its weekly high, 1,000 euros therefore corresponded to 10,937 dirhams.
