Desperate Moroccan Attempts Border Crossing at Ceuta After Months-Long Wait

Another Moroccan recently tried to cross the border barrier between the city of Sebta and Morocco. After more than 100 days stuck there, some are taking desperate measures to reunite with their families.
The website El Faro de Ceuta, based on a video of the scene, explains that a Moroccan tried to force the barrier separating the kingdom from the autonomous city. The man was prevented at the last minute by the Guardia civil elements.
Hundreds of Moroccans have been waiting for more than 3 months to be evacuated by the Moroccan authorities. While some have been lucky enough to be hosted by relatives, this is not the case for a large number of them who have found refuge in covered rooms arranged by the municipality.
In May, Morocco had begun the repatriation of Moroccans stranded in the two Spanish enclaves. But a disagreement over the number of people to be evacuated had led to the suspension of the operation.
