Deadly Building Collapse in Tangier: Woman Killed by Falling Facade During Storm

A woman lost her life after being seriously injured by the fall of part of the facade of a residential building in Tangier.
The accident occurred as she was about to get into her car, according to several local sources. Transported in serious condition to Mohammed V Hospital, she ultimately succumbed to her injuries.
The victim, aged 29, worked in the building from which the facade fell. This building, unlike the neighboring buildings that withstood the test, was unable to withstand the violent winds that the city and more broadly the north of Morocco experienced throughout Friday.
This storm followed a warning from the General Directorate of Meteorology, which had issued a red alert announcing winds of up to 120 km/h and heavy thunderstorms that could reach 110 mm in several Moroccan regions.
