Dakhla, Morocco Reopens to Tourists with Enhanced Safety Measures

Tourism professionals in Dakhla are doing their best to revive tourism. For the safety of visitors, they are focusing more on compliance with preventive measures to fight the spread of the coronavirus.
Tourists come from all over to admire the landscape of Dakhla and especially to enjoy the sea and the various sports activities. 2M has made a report on the strategies put in place by tourism operators to attract as many people as possible. Jérôme is a Belgian staying in Dakhla. He has always appreciated this part of Morocco for its fresh air, the sea taken by water sports enthusiasts, the various services offered by the different hotels. He liked to come here long before the covid-19 pandemic.
On site, the promoters try to offer a secure environment that takes into account measures such as physical distancing, the use of 50% of the capacity of hotels, restaurants and others, the wearing of protective masks. Mouhamed Salem Boudija is the regional director of crafts Dakhla Oued Eddahab. He explains that the enthusiasm for the region is not only due to the beauty of the landscape but also to the efforts made by the local authorities.
