Dakar Prep Shifts to Andalusia Rally as Morocco Event Canceled Due to COVID-19

The Morocco rally has been canceled this year. It has been replaced by the Andalusia rally due to the resurgence of new coronavirus infections in the kingdom.
The organizers have taken this option to allow several crews to prepare for the 2021 Dakar. The preparations to create this replacement event took place in just two weeks. The first edition of the Andalusia rally is therefore scheduled to take place from October 6 to 10.
For this first edition, several drivers are announced, including Carlos Sainz and Stéphane Peterhansel, who represent Mini. Nasser Al-Attiyah, the official Toyota driver, will also be at the start, as well as the Overdrive drivers Yazeed Al-Rahji, Erik Van Loon, Ronan Chabot and Bernhard Ten Brinke.
The organizers also announce Cristina Gutiérrez, not to mention the revelation of the 2020 Dakar, Mathieu Serradori. In addition, the crews of the Red Bull Off Road Team Jr including Kévin Hansen, the Rallycross driver.
