Customs Seize 218 Smuggled Smartphones Worth Over 1 Million Dirhams at Moroccan Border

A total of 218 undeclared smartphones, valued at 1,046,250 dirhams, were seized on Thursday, October 10th at the Sebta crossing point. The defendant, a Moroccan Resident Abroad (MRE), was immediately arrested.

According to the same media, another MRE living in Spain was apprehended at the same crossing point, in the early hours of Thursday, with 34 kilograms of cannabis resin (chira), in the form of slabs and balls.
The drug was found inside the chassis of a vehicle registered in Spain, the same source indicates, specifying that its owner has been handed over to the Judicial Police for further investigation under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office.
