Crystal Palace’s Chadi Riad Sidelined with New Knee Injury

Bad news for Chadi Riad. As he returns from injury, the Moroccan international playing at Crystal Palace has just suffered a new one.
Chadi Riad will have to stay away from the pitch for a while. According to Oliver Glasner, Crystal Palace’s coach, the Atlas Lion has suffered a knee injury and will not be able to play the match against Brentford, scheduled for this Sunday in the Premier League.
"Unfortunately, Cheick Doucoure and Chadi Riad both have knee injuries and are not available for Sunday’s match. The doctors have to examine them, and let’s see how it goes, but no [we don’t have a schedule for their return] for the moment," said the English technician.
Arrived this summer after a loan to Real Betis, the Moroccan defender had injured his anterior cruciate ligament last August, during the match against Norwich in the EFL Cup, which had kept him away from the pitch.
The young player made his return last Sunday, January 12, against Stockport (1-0), during the third round of the FA Cup. This is the only time he has taken the field this season in the English championship.
