Croatian Swimmer Dana Levacic First Woman to Cross Gibraltar Strait in 2024

Croatian Dana Levacic is the first woman to cross the Strait of Gibraltar by swimming and without a wetsuit, between Tarifa (Cádiz) and the Moroccan coast, this year.
The 26-year-old woman has become this Sunday the first woman to have crossed the Strait of Gibraltar by swimming this year, according to the Association of the Strait Crossing (ACNEG).

Dana Levacic left this morning from the island of Tarifa, and reached Point Cires, about a hundred meters from the Moroccan coast, near the port of Tanger Med, after 3 hours and 3 minutes of swimming, reports Sport.
The crossings by swimming of the Strait have officially started this year on June 7, when a Spaniard and an American took up this challenge which had not been recorded during the last two years marked by the health crisis.
