COVID-19 Staff Shortages Force Flight Cancellations from UK to Morocco

This Monday in England, several flights have been canceled, due to staff shortages, affected by Covid-19. Among these flights, several are destined for Morocco.
More than 120 flights have been canceled by airlines, and others scheduled with delays of more than three hours. According to Easyjet and British Airways, the cancellations are due to staff absences due to Covid-19, while Eurotunnel explained that a train breakdown had caused delays.
According to the Easyjet spokesperson, the cancellations, of which 62 were departing from the United Kingdom, represented only a small part of its Monday program, around 1,645 flights. The company said it had tried to compensate for the problem by using reserve crews, but had been forced "to make some cancellations in advance."
For its part, British Airways (BA) has canceled around sixty flights, departing and arriving at Heathrow airport. Fifty of them had been canceled in advance last week, but 10 flights were canceled overnight due to the spread of Covid cases among staff.
In addition, this situation has also led to long queues at security and check-in. Some passengers at Manchester airport even missed their flight at the start of the Easter holidays due to the waiting time. Complaints have also been filed regarding the long waits in the baggage claim halls.
