COVID-19 Outbreak: 32 Infected After Funeral in Moroccan Village Near Al Hoceima

A new epidemic outbreak appeared at the end of the week in a small village near Al Hoceima. 32 cases of Covid-19 contamination were recorded among the 100 people who participated in a funeral.
For the health authorities, the situation is uncontrollable and risks turning into a tragedy if preventive measures and instructions continue not to be respected.
Inhabitants of other villages would, according to Hoceima city, have joined the funeral procession, leading to a high-risk situation of promiscuity. Security barriers have thus been placed at the access points of the different villages, to prevent movements.
The appearance of new epidemic outbreaks is a phenomenon that threatens health security in Morocco, according to a report by international experts, who blame the country for having mismanaged the deconfinement phase.
