Morocco’s COVID-19 Cases Surge: 3,170 New Infections, 959 in Critical Condition

3,170 cases of contamination were recorded in Morocco in the last 24 hours with 50 serious cases. The epidemiological situation is still critical with cases of infected people recorded in all regions of the country.
With this new wave of contamination, the total number of infected people since the beginning of the pandemic now reaches 259,951, according to the daily Covid-19 bulletin from the Ministry of Health.
Out of the 42,690 active cases, 959 people are admitted to the resuscitation and intensive care units, 73 are intubated and 333 are under non-invasive ventilation. The occupancy rate of the resuscitation beds dedicated to Covid-19 is 36%, the same source specifies.
