New Couple Joins M6’s ’Scènes de ménages’ as Mountain Village Shopkeepers
Alice and Sofiane, two salespeople, form the new couple in the M6 series "Scenes of Married Life". Who are the replacements for Christine (Fanny Cottençon) and Gilbert (Didier Bénureau)?
Alice and Sofiane, played by Élodie Poux and Majid Berhila - two middle-aged people - are joining the M6 short program Scènes de ménages starting Monday, January 13, 2025. The new couple in the series live in the mid-mountains, where they run a village grocery store and serve regular customers as well as passing tourists. "It is in their mid-mountain grocery store/snack bar, and often in front of their customers, that Alice and Sofiane will argue, reconcile and re-argue," reveals M6. The channel will specify: "Living above their business, they will have to reconcile private and professional life and therefore put up with each other 24 hours a day, whether it’s windy, rainy or especially snowy!"
M6 describes the personalities of Alice and Sofiane. "She lights up as soon as the bell announcing the arrival of a customer rings. Cheerful, talkative, voluble, very, even too sociable, she will always prefer a good rumor to a good sale. She has energy to spare and not just at the grocery store, sometimes to the chagrin of her associate husband," the channel says. Sofiane, on the other hand, is silent. His ambition is to be the head of a franchise of several grocery stores. "He knows Steve Jobs’ biography by heart and sees himself already at the head of a franchise of 30 grocery stores," reveals the production. "In the meantime, he fights his anxiety about not succeeding by applying sales strategies not always suited to the size of their business."
