Costa del Sol Forges Tourism Alliance with Northern Morocco to Boost Regional Travel

A trade alliance has been established between the Costa del Sol and northern Morocco. This was in the presence of entrepreneurs from Malaga, the Chamber of Commerce and the Regional Tourism Council of Tangier, Tetouan and Al Hoceima.
According to Margarita del Cid, the tourism delegate of the Costa del Sol, this alliance aims to attract the clientele of this market to the province of Malaga, reports Europa Press. It takes into account a common strategy in promotion, training, market intelligence and product creation. The search for new business opportunities and the improvement of the positioning of the Costa del Sol as a destination on the markets of the northern region of Morocco is also targeted. On the Moroccan side, it is also envisaged to search for new opportunities and the positioning of Tangier, Tetouan and Al Hoceima on the Costa del Sol and throughout Andalusia.
"Tourisme Costa del" Sol will allocate, for the account of the year 2020, 418,000 promotional actions in emerging markets and air connectivity. These are trade fairs, professional conferences, marketing actions and door-to-door.
According to the CEO, the main objectives are: the identification of new market niches, the increase of tourist flows between the Costa del Sol and northern Morocco, the creation of combined products in northern Morocco / Costa del Sol-Malaga, the improvement of brand awareness and the return of actions as well as "marketing intelligence".
