Controversy Erupts Over Border Incident at Ceuta Crossing
For a few days on social networks, the controversy is intensifying about a video filmed at the Bab Sebta border post. The 60-second sequence shows on the one hand a young girl and a person in a wheelchair, and on the other hand, Moroccan customs officers. Apparently, a disagreement between these two camps has gone wrong.
It would all have started with the prohibition made to the disabled person to stop in front of the border post. This was followed by an altercation during which the young girl slapped one of the customs agents.
At the sight of this rather farcical scene, due to the behavior of the customs officers, but also the audacity of the young girl, Internet users remain divided in their opinions and comments.
The strongest indignation will come from the Al Karama Association for the Defense of Human Rights. Its leaders have strongly condemned the behavior of the customs officers towards a person with reduced mobility. Indeed, according to the same source, the video shows this person in a "humiliating position, lying on the ground next to his wheelchair".
