Conte’s Tottenham Exit Looms as Hakimi Transfer Dream Fades

One of the major difficulties for Spurs coach Antonio Conte, currently on the starting line, is related to the recruitment of players to bolster his team, particularly the right-back. He would have liked the PSG star Achraf Hakimi to join Tottenham, but he did not dare to talk about it to club president Daniel Levy.
As his departure from Tottenham Hotspur Stadium seems imminent, Antonio Conte expresses regrets. One of the players Conte really wanted to recruit to strengthen the (ineffective) right-back of the Spurs is Achraf Hakimi, reports The Athletic.
The Italian technician would have liked to have him in his squad, but he never talked about it to London club president Daniel Levy, because he was convinced that he would face a categorical refusal from him. A possible signing of the PSG star could cost Tottenham a fortune.
