Conte Erupts: Naples Coach Storms Field After Brutal Tackle on Star Defender

An incident could have escalated during the pre-season match between Naples and Olympiacos which took place on Thursday, August 14 in Castel di Sangro (southeast of Rome). In the 36th minute, as the Kosovo defender of Naples Amir Rrahmani tried to play the ball forward, the Moroccan striker of Olympiacos Ayoub El Kaabi attacked the ball and cut it, causing a clash of boots and shoulders right in front of the managers’ technical area, reports The SUN. Following this violent tackle, Rrahmani collapsed screaming in pain. The Moroccan striker just shrugged his shoulders before advancing on the field.

Antonio Conte did not at all appreciate this aggressive tackle. Furious, he entered the field, followed El Kaabi and tried to confront him. But he was prevented by security and Naples staff. He managed to get closer to the Moroccan international before being physically held back by the fourth official. The tensions finally calmed down. The Moroccan striker received a yellow card. The Italian coach remained until the end of the match, which ended in a Naples victory (2-1).
