Comedian Mocks Gad Elmaleh’s Plagiarism Scandal with Deliberate Joke Theft at French Awards Show

Comedian Alex Vizorek recently plagiarized some of Gad Elmaleh’s jokes during an awards ceremony to mock his own plagiarism. Then, caught in the act and hypothetically accused of plagiarism, he defended himself by reusing part of the argument used by Gad to defend himself.
This is how, during the annual French theater awards ceremony "La nuit des Molières" on May 13, 2019, Vizorek took up several of Gad’s jokes, such as the one about the "semicolon", the loser among punctuation marks, or the famous joke about the uselessness of knowing square roots, as if they were his own.
And there’s the screen revealing his hypothetical plagiarism by CopyComic (the one who denounced Gad’s plagiarism, a humor vigilante). Caught in the act of plagiarism (like Gad), to defend himself, Vizorek brings out the same argument as Gad, that they are just observations that belong to no one, as well as the famous "if we can’t pay tribute to our idol"...
It should be noted that one of the victims of his plagiarism, Martin Petit, a comedian whose jokes were taken up by Gad Elmaleh, said: "It’s pathetic. How do you explain a bank robbery? You go into a bank, you steal money, it’s not a tribute to the monetary system." He even said: "He takes the jokes of all kinds of people and he does them worse." And to drive the point home, Petit declared: "I find it really embarrassing for him, it’s awful. It’s the worst thing a comedian can do."
