Colombian Police Search Rapper French Montana’s Plane Over Drug Suspicions

In Colombia, the private plane of American rapper French Montana was thoroughly searched by the police as the aircraft was about to take off for the United States. Federal authorities suspected that drugs were on board.
French Montana’s departure for the United States after a stay in Colombia where he went to have his teeth redone was disrupted due to drug trafficking suspicions. His "Coke boys" label name also used for his projects sticks to him. In a first video posted on his Instagram page, the American rapper of Moroccan origin told his 37.8 million subscribers that he and his companions were "trapped" in the plane until the Colombian authorities were sure there were no drugs on board.
According to his explanations, his plane had been stopped because they are "the Coke Boys". "It’s not crazy, Colombia, it’s time to leave," he says, before panning his phone, showing fans, Colombian officials and K-9 dogs approaching the aircraft. "Inshallah, they don’t find anything and we get home safe and sound. But in the meantime, we’ll keep you posted," said the interpreter of Blue chills at the end of his first video.
A second video posted on the same social network shows the authorities and drug-sniffing dogs on the plane, searching for any form of illegal substance. "They put the dogs on the plane," French Montana recounted. "Colombia I love you all. But you don’t have to do this to me. [...] "You don’t have to have those dogs in there like that. You know we’re Coke Boys, but we’re not Coke Boys for that," he continued, assuring that the federal authorities had found no drugs on his plane and that everything was fine.
Shared on The Shade Room’s page, the rapper’s videos have sparked comments. "They heard you were called ’Coke Boy’, they’re not playing with you," writes one Internet user. Another Internet user suggests the artist change the name of his label and his projects. "Moral of the story... if you were the Pepsi Boys, this would never happen," he writes.
