Cold Snap Brings Thunderstorms and Near-Freezing Temperatures to Morocco

The cold has definitely set in in Morocco for several days now with rain, thunderstorms forecast in places and temperatures dropping below 0 in the morning.
According to the National Meteorology Directorate (DMN), the thunderstorms will affect several provinces: the Atlas, the southeast, the Oriental, the central regions of the country, including the Souss, and the northern provinces of the south.
In the morning, it is expected between 2 and 7 degrees on the Atlas reliefs, the Rif, the Oriental, the phosphate and Oulmès plateaus as well as on the southeast. Elsewhere in the kingdom, 8 to 14 degrees are expected.
In the afternoon, it will be 7 and 12 degrees on the Atlas and the Rif, 21 to 26 degrees on the southeast and 18 to 22 degrees everywhere else.
