CMA CGM Introduces $400 Peak Season Surcharge on Morocco-Africa Shipping Routes

The shipping company CMA CGM has announced a new peak season surcharge (PSS) between Morocco and countries like the Democratic Republic of Congo and Angola. This surcharge will come into effect in October.
Starting October 23, and until further notice, CMA CGM is imposing a surcharge of $400 per container for freight from Northern Europe (excluding France), Scandinavia, Poland, the Baltic, the United Kingdom, the Western Mediterranean, the Adriatic, Morocco, West Africa, the Eastern Mediterranean and the Black Sea to Angola, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Gabon & Congo (countries served by the Euraf 5 service). The reasons for this new surcharge remain unknown for the time being.
In Morocco, CMA CGM offers a wide range of services through 3 agencies: Casablanca, Tangier and Agadir. It offers 27 services to and from Morocco.
