Civil Guard Rescues 6-Year-Old Moroccan Girl from Seizure at Spanish Port

Civil Guard agents saved on Sunday a 6-year-old girl who was convulsing in a vehicle that arrived at the port of Almería from Morocco.
As the Civil Guards were carrying out routine checks on the vehicles disembarking at the port, the minor’s relatives realized that she was having a seizure and called for help. Quickly, the agents activated the emergency protocol and alerted the emergency services, reports El Debate.
While waiting for the arrival of the rescue services, they managed to revive the young girl and clear her airways, which prevented the worst. The minor was then transferred by ambulance to the pediatric unit of the Torrecárdenas hospital in Almería where she was taken care of.
The girl’s life was saved thanks to the security and health system set up to facilitate the transit of people and vehicles as part of the Marhaba Operation, said the Civil Guard, stressing that this system "guarantees an immediate response to emergency situations".
