Five individuals, presumed to be the perpetrators of this trafficking, were arrested and made available to the judicial authorities of Algeciras. The stolen cars, on the other hand, were returned to their respective owners.
The phenomenon of vehicle thefts has particularly developed in recent months. The trafficking is done from Europe to Africa via the ports of Algeciras and Tarifa. Once in Morocco, the chassis numbers of the vehicles are modified, making their location and recovery almost impossible.
