Chinese Giant Invests 689 Million Dirhams in Tangier
Chinese group Haomei has chosen Tangier to establish its new aluminum production plant. This major investment aims to supply the automotive and construction sectors while strengthening its international expansion.
Driven by the strong industrial momentum of the Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima region, the Asian company will spend 689 million dirhams to build this production unit which it will own 100%. Located within Tangier Tech, this new industrial complex will manufacture approximately 44,000 tons of aluminum profiles annually. These materials are essential for designing lightweight structures for the automotive industry, particularly for electric vehicles, as well as for the building sector. This production directly meets new global requirements focused on using lighter and more energy-efficient materials.

Beyond production, this establishment constitutes a genuine strategic logistics and industrial platform for Haomei. By settling in Morocco, the manufacturer intends to leverage the country’s geographic position and its multiple trade agreements to intensify its presence in European and North African markets. This decision is part of a broader movement where many international firms are currently reorganizing their supply chains to reduce logistics costs.
