Chinese Consortium Wins $5 Million Contract to Operate Major Moroccan Wind Farm

The operation and maintenance of the Tanger-Dhar Saadane wind farm, with a capacity of 107.1 MW, will be carried out by the Chinese consortium consisting of CRRC Dalian, CACS and Zhongtiann, for a period of three years.
This group of Chinese companies won the tender launched by the National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water (ONEE) in January for an amount of 50.4 million dirhams.
Concretely, these companies will ensure the monitoring and operation of all 126 wind turbines in the park, as well as the internal high-voltage electrical network in order to optimize the operating conditions of the wind turbines.
The contract also includes a skills transfer component. Periodic on-site training sessions will be scheduled for ONEE staff to transfer knowledge about the operation, maintenance and repair of the equipment.
