It was in the helicopter transporting him with his mother for emergency care that the child, whose exact nationality has not been established, died. The other 64 migrants disembarked on Friday morning in Malaga, the newspaper wrote.
According to the latest report from the International Organization for Migration, 1,041 men, women and children, including 315 between North Africa and Spain, have died trying to cross the Mediterranean since the beginning of the year.
