Chelsea’s Tuchel Blocks Ziyech Transfer Amid Barcelona Interest
Chelsea’s German coach Thomas Tuchel has reiterated his attachment to Hakim Ziyech, rejecting any departure of the Moroccan during the winter transfer window.
While he was announced to be heading to FC Barcelona in the next few days, Hakim Ziyech will not be able to leave London. The reason is that his coach does not want to let him go. The German technician would have vetoed it and "everything would have stopped for the moment" because the coach does not want to weaken his team in the middle of this season.
Confident in recent weeks, the 28-year-old Moroccan international is actively participating in the club’s victories, both in the Champions League and in the Premier League. This pleases Tuchel, who still wants to count on him for the second part of the championship.
"I think I’m one of Chelsea’s top eleven. But a manager chooses his team match by match, and he decides what he needs," Ziyech said, as if to show his willingness to continue the London adventure.
