Chelsea's Hakim Ziyech Set for Lucrative Move to Saudi Arabia's Al Nassr

After two years on the bench at Chelsea, Hakim Ziyech is about to take a new turn in his career. Struggling at the London club, the Atlas Lion is considering a move to Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia.

This transfer, reported by specialized journalist Fabrizio Romano, is likely to radically change the midfielder’s career.

The details of the contract are being finalized, with Ziyech expected to sign a three-year contract until June 2026. The player has accepted a substantial annual salary of 20 million euros, Romano points out. Despite past interest from AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain, Ziyech has chosen the Saudi option, probably to get more playing time and a nice retirement as well.

The Moroccan international will join a team of big names, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Talisca, David Ospina and Alvaro Gonzalez. Arrived at Chelsea in 2020 from Ajax Amsterdam for a sum of 40 million euros plus bonuses, Ziyech has won the Champions League, the European Super Cup and the Club World Cup with the London club.

But the challenge awaiting Ziyech is not without risks. The training and competition pace in Saudi Arabia is lower than in Europe. To stay in shape and support the Atlas Lions in their quest for the Africa Cup of Nations title, Ziyech will have to redouble his efforts.
