Ceuta Residents Urge Moroccan King to Reopen Border for Ramadan

The association of residents of Ceuta, in a letter addressed to the King of Morocco, Mohammed VI, is asking for the reopening of the Tarajal border in order to allow the inhabitants of Ceuta and Tetouan "to refresh their ties and move freely during this month of Ramadan fasting".
"We, the inhabitants of Ceuta, have very strong ties with Morocco and we are not asking for a total opening, but rather one limited to the inhabitants of the neighboring cities, even with restrictions," they specify in the letter addressed to King Mohammed VI.
"The health crisis has disrupted our habits during this sacred month of Ramadan," the residents of Ceuta added in the letter signed by the president of the association Abdelmalik Mohamed, inviting King Mohammed VI to open the Tarajal border, closed since mid-March last year, in order to allow the inhabitants of Ceuta and Tetouan to "maintain human and family ties".
