Ceuta Pressures Morocco to Repatriate Unaccompanied Minors Amid Rising Tensions

Following the ban on smuggled goods from Ceuta, the local government is now blackmailing Morocco with the card of unaccompanied minors.
Relations between Morocco and Ceuta are no longer rosy. The city has decided to put pressure on Morocco, now demanding that the Kingdom immediately take back its hundreds of unaccompanied minors.
According to Juan Jesús Vivas, president of Ceuta, unaccompanied minors represent a threat to the stability of his city.
According to local authorities, these unaccompanied minors, particularly those entrusted to reception centers, are estimated at around 300 people, while another hundred are eking out a living around the port of Ceuta.
