Ceuta Mourns 94th COVID-19 Death as Moroccan City Worker Succumbs Weeks After Wife

Infected with the coronavirus, Mohamed Buchta Mohamed, a 58-year-old Moroccan, on duty with the brigade of the Ministry of the Environment and Urban Services of Ceuta, did not survive. He passed away on Tuesday, only 20 days after his wife, who was carried away at the beginning of March by the same virus.
Mohamed Buchta Mohamed died after being admitted to the university hospital in the city of Ceuta. According to the health authorities who officially announced his death, the Moroccan is the 94th victim of the coronavirus, reports El Faro de Ceuta. His wife, Malika Rhouichi, 51, succumbed to the disease before him. She died on March 3, 20 days earlier than her husband.
Like Mohamed and Malika, several couples in Ceuta have been separated by the coronavirus pandemic. Their families and loved ones continue to mourn their passing.
According to the Health Department, the autonomous city had, as of March 22, three deaths due to the coronavirus recorded in the last seven days and 91 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
