Ceuta Allocates €5.5 Million for Care of Unaccompanied Moroccan Minors

The authorities of Ceuta decided on Monday to allocate 5.5 million euros to care for the 302 Moroccan minors who arrived in the city in May 2021 and who are still staying in the minors’ centers.
The 5,559,859 euros approved by the Governing Council will be used for housing, catering, clothing and covering other needs (health, education, etc.) of the minors, explained Alberto Gaitán, the spokesman for the Ceuta government, specifying that 463,321 euros will be used this year, 2.7 million euros in 2023 and 2.3 million euros in 2024.
"The actions have always been carried out in the best interest of the minor and in coordination with the Government Delegation. We welcome the extraordinary work that Mabel Deu, first vice-president and minister of relations with institutions, has done in this regard," added Alberto Gaitán.
