Cepsa Expands into Morocco: 100 New Gas Stations Planned in 5-Year Partnership

Thanks to the signing of an alliance agreement with the Moroccan group, Derhem holding, the Spanish oil company, Cepsa, is establishing itself in Morocco. A total of 100 service stations will be opened in the Kingdom over the next five years.
Contributing to generating competitiveness in the growing energy market in Morocco. This is the full scope of the partnership that now binds the Spanish oil company, Cepsa, to the Moroccan group, Derhem holding.
The two groups will each contribute 50% to the development of the activities, a press release indicates. In this sense, the Moroccan holding company will bring its knowledge of the country in which it has been operating for more than 50 years, and Cepsa will provide the brand and the model developed in Spain but also in Portugal, adds the same source.
Similarly, the agreement includes the development of direct sales activities to other operators, industrial customers and the public sector. To this end, a storage terminal will be installed in the coming months at the Port of Jorf Lasfar, one of the main ports in the country, off El Jadida.
"This alliance is part of the strategic partnership between Morocco and Spain, initiated by King Mohammed VI, in order to strengthen the economic agreements aimed at consolidating economic relations, including those in the energy sector," said Dahman Derhem, President of Derhem holding.
