Cenntro Electrifies North Africa: US Firm Partners with Moroccan Company to Assemble EVs Locally

The American manufacturer of electric utility vehicles Cenntro Inc. has signed a partnership agreement with the company Electricove Maroc. The agreement aims to assemble electric vehicles in Morocco for distribution in local and North African markets.
Under the terms of the agreement, Cenntro will provide vehicle assembly kits to Electricove, which will establish a local plant to assemble the brand’s models, including the Teemak and the LS450. The American manufacturer, headquartered in Freehold, New Jersey, has also committed to providing the technical documentation, assembly training, and engineering support necessary to help Electricove develop its production capabilities.
This partnership expands an existing collaboration between the two companies. According to the press release, Electricove Maroc has been a distribution partner of Cenntro for several years. Peter Wang, CEO of Cenntro, said in this regard: "Cenntro’s collaboration with Electricove Maroc is based on a long-standing relationship and represents an important step in supporting the deployment of electric vehicles in the region."
The objective of this new step is to strengthen Cenntro’s presence, which designs and manufactures class 1 to 4 electric trucks, in the North African market. The partnership thus allows for the establishment of localized production of its electric utility vehicles to better address the needs of the region.
