Casablanca Upgrades Transport: New Bus Station Planned for 2030 World Cup

The city of Casablanca has decided to rehabilitate the Oulad Ziane station and build a new bus station in the Hay Hassani district, in the perspective of the 2030 World Cup that Morocco will jointly organize with Spain and Portugal.
Nabila Rmili, the mayor of Casablanca, announced the imminent start of the rehabilitation work on the Oulad Ziane station, during the last municipal council session held on Monday, October 7th. The said works should be completed within 6 months. They will be carried out in several phases, in order not to affect the proper functioning of the station.
As for the new bus station to be built in Hay Hassani, it is a project that will contribute to improving the quality of public transport in the economic capital, as most buses to the city transit through this district.
Furthermore, the local authorities have decided to extend the tramway line to the new Hay Hassani bus station, said Nabila Rmili, announcing the creation of two other bus stations. But for the moment, the efforts will be focused on the Hay Hassani and Oulad Ziane stations which must be delivered before the 2030 World Cup.
