Casablanca Traffic Chaos: Tram Construction Closes Major Roads, Causes Gridlock

The authorities of the city of Casablanca have decided to close several arteries of the city due to the preparation work for the tram lines.
The inhabitants of Casablanca are forced to take detours to find their way due to the various construction sites opened in the city. Motorists going to the Tacharouk district had to go through the Moulay Rachid area, as the main road leading to this district has been closed in preparation for the imminent launch of the tram line work, reports Telquel, adding that this forced detour has caused monstrous traffic jams in these areas, especially during rush hour.
Also, the closure of "Lacroix" street leading to the Ouled Ziane station has forced drivers to look for other routes, disrupting traffic in the area and forcing the traffic agents deployed in the area to redouble their efforts to streamline mobility. The closure of these roads aims to accelerate the preparation work for the tram lines, assures a source from the municipality, specifying that the work should not last too long.
